API Integration Contractor – SaaS Vendor & Channel Partner Network

About the project:

We are seeking an experienced API Integration Contractor to design, develop, and implement seamless API integrations between a leading SaaS vendor and its channel partner network. The goal is to streamline and automate the ordering process of the vendor’s SaaS offerings, enhancing speed, efficiency, and accuracy for partners.
This contractor will work closely with the SaaS vendor, its channel partners, and internal IT teams to ensure a scalable, secure, and user-friendly integration that simplifies order placement, tracking, and provisioning of services.

Key Responsibilities:

• API Development & Integration: Design and implement API solutions to enable faster and automated ordering of the SaaS vendor’s products through the channel partner network.
• System Analysis & Mapping: Assess existing vendor and partner platforms to define API requirements and data flows.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure integrations meet security, compliance, and governance standards (e.g., OAuth, SSO, GDPR, SOC 2).
• Automation & Process Optimization: Develop automated workflows to eliminate manual data entry, reduce order processing time, and minimize errors.
• Collaboration: Work with the SaaS vendor’s IT team, channel partners, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with CRM, ERP, and billing systems.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance testing) to validate performance, reliability, and security.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Provide technical documentation, API specifications, and training for internal teams and partners.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Identify and resolve integration issues, ensuring high availability and performance of API services.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in API development and integration within an enterprise IT environment.
• Strong expertise in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and API management tools (e.g., Apigee, Mulesoft, Postman).
• Experience with authentication and security protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or Java for API development.
• Experience integrating with CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), ERP (SAP, NetSuite), and billing platforms.
• Familiarity with SaaS vendor APIs and partner portal integrations is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with B2B SaaS platforms and channel partner ecosystems.
• Understanding of EDI, Webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
• Prior project experience in the telecom, UCaaS, or collaboration software industry.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps best practices.
